Namgay Heritage Hotel is one of the finest luxuries that Bhutan has to offer to its tourists. Located just a walking distance from the heart of Thimphu city, Namgay Heritage Hotel is one of the few heritage hotels in Bhutan.

The property houses 4 different structures which are the main building, the Conference hall, the health centre and Thimphu Bakes where you can sit back and relax. The traditional decor is a beautiful sight as soon as you step inside this heritage hotel. Yet, this has all the modern facilities (including a health tap in the toilets, something that’s not common to Bhutan, I guess). Our room had a bedroom attached to a living room, and it felt like a mini-house really. The staff is courteous and is ready to help you out in every possible way. The view of the mountains is a sight to behold early in the morning. The breakfast buffet spread is the usual English breakfast spread. Indian food is available and quite tasty too.

The hotel itself has a traditional decor. The check-in is fast and they will serve us tea or coffee while waiting.

One of the staff helped us with the luggage up to the hotel room. Out of the three hotels I stayed, this was the only one with a lift. The room itself is nice and comfortable, although the shower area could do with a few extra hooks so

that it is easier to get the towels.

The hotel is having great Bhutanese architecture, designs, cravings and all. The location of the hotel is great. You can walk by the town. They have lift inside. The staffs are very attentive and service is great. The rooms is very spacious and comfortable. Washroom is nice. Restaurant is very spacious and food is delicious. They have swimming pool, spa and gym. Highly recommended.
